Contractors are being urged to check for signs of modern slavery as reports rise of exploited migrant operatives on sites.

Construction sites are particularly at high risk of modern slavery and skills shortages, resulting in high use of 'gang masters' and other non-compliant means to get the job done. Unfortunately, this exposes various companies in the supply chain to a raft of legislation at HMRC's disposal.
