The Student Loans company has confirmed that from 6th April 2018 the repayment threshold for student loans taken prior to 2012 will change. The threshold will rise annually by the Retail Prices index (RPI).
The current repayment threshold for 2017-2018 for plan 1 is £17,775, the student loans company has confirmed that this will increase to £18,330.
The student loans company has also confirmed that there will be no changes made to the thresholds for any Post 2012, plan 2 loans. The threshold for plan 2 student loans will remain at £21,000.
